Congradulations on the new job. I am fairly new to your blog and just finished reading all your posts. My partner and I live in the Seattle area and are in the beginning stages of starting foster care. In beginning, I mean surfing the Washington State DSHS site and reading about every book I can find out there. I know you wrote that you write your blog for yourself but the honesty in your writing has helped give me a little insite into the world of foster care. Thank you. I hope you much luck in in all aspects of your life.
Wow! I'm really impressed that you read everything. I hope it was helpful. Fostering is a deeply personal and largely misunderstood journey, so it can be a lifesaver to read from or speak to other foster parents- I just came back from our monthly foster parents' support group, so I know the value of that. Good luck! Even if you only foster one child, you'll have made a world of difference. I hope foster care brings you somewhere wonderful. -Kate-
